Potomac River Fisheries Commission Professional to Visit

THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF PEOPLE SIGNED UP. WITH SOLs AND SNOW DAYS MANY WERE NOT AWARE OF THE OPPORTUNITY. SORRY. WE HOPE TO RESCHEDULE. 



It has been too long since we had a meeting. With the Christmas holiday and then the weather, we have not done as much as we would like. That changes with a meeting on March 12th. If you like fishing and are interested to find out how and why certain regulations are put in place for fishing the Potomac River, then come to the meeting to listen to a presentation and ask questions of Mr. Gary about everything from striped bass, crabs, catfish and anything else Potomac River related.

Outdoor Club Permission Slip to Stay After





On Thursday, March 12th, Mr. Martin Gary, of the Potomac River Fisheries Commission, is planning to address our outdoor club with a presentation on the fisheries of the Potomac River. He is the executive secretary of the agency and he is formerly a fisheries biologist for Maryland DNR. He has extensive experience with the interactions of various species of fish and other aquatic creatures, anglers and environmental conditions that impact our local fisheries. If your student may attend and you can arrange a ride for them no later than 4 P.M. on that day please sign giving your permission and your agreement to have them picked up at this time. Parents may attend too!

I give my student, (please print) ____________________________, permission to stay after on Thursday, March 12th, for the presentation on the Potomac River fisheries. I will have them picked up by 4:00 PM that day.

For the student: Please obey all school rules. There will be NO horseplay. Be attentive and on time. The presentation will begin at 2:30 PM and end by 4 PM.
